Accomplishments

  • Social Work Agency Pitch Contest, The EDAC Center at Morgan State University, 12/2023, In December 2023, the final project for our Clinical Social Work/Case Management Class was to create an agency and pitch it to judges within the room, similar to what you'd see on Shark Tank. My agency was called 'Bright Beginnings Maternity Services'. It was aimed at providing wraparound maternal care to mothers in low-income communities, focusing mainly on providing treatment for Maternal Substance Use Disorder (MSUD). I won the contest along with two other students.
  • Shirley A. Reason Memorial Scholarship, The Howard L. Cornish Metropolitan Baltimore Chapter of Morgan State Alumni, 01/2023, In January 2023, the Howard L. Cornish Metropolitan Baltimore Chapter of the Morgan State University Alumni Association held the 38th Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Breakfast and I was awarded the Shirley A. Reason Memorial Scholarship.
