Summary

Working in this industry allows you to experience so many different personalities and difficulties throughout your interactions with the general population. I believe one of the main skills you need to have to work in this industry is "people skills." Not just anyone can deal with so many different personalities and find a way to ensure they have the best experience possible. Other than being a mother, this industry has shown me the meaning of patience. It is a skill that is especially required within the restaurant industry. Things almost always do not go as planned, and working in this industry has allowed me to embrace this and just roll with it without getting overwhelmed. I believe the skills I have acquired throughout my time in the restaurant industry will help me excel in any occupation. The ability to interact with others and accommodate their needs is one of the main skills I have gained from working for the restaurant industry the last fourteen years.
