In the 2019 school year, I was nominated and won the Rise Up Award. This award recognizes a teacher, administrator, therapist, assistant to an educator or anyone in the Special Education system who has truly gone to extraordinary efforts to contribute, in a compassionate and caring way, to the growth, happiness, and general well-being of our children with disabilities.

I have been asked to create multiple professional development presentations to present to new teachers and veteran teachers. They have been on co-teaching strategies and on understanding the different parts of an IEP.

I have played beach volleyball for about 7 years now. I am one of the captains of our team. I practice with some of the students at my school during their recess and help teach them the different skills you need to become a volleyball player.
