Work History

Officer

United States Navy

I currently work at the United States Naval Academy as a TAD Ensign within the English Department. I work closely with both civilian and military faculty, assisting them in preparation of their syllabi and classroom development for the upcoming academic year.

Midshipman

United States Naval Academy
07.2021 - 05.2025
  • I graduated from the United States Naval Academy in May of 2025. Not only did I receive a Bachelor's of Science in English, but commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy. I received thorough preparation to lead sailors and marines through countless leadership courses and leadership billets that have developed my communication and interpersonal skills with those ranking above and below me.
  • I was a platoon commander, leading around 30 midshipmen through their academics and overall performance. I organized team bonding activities, workouts, and led counselings to ensure their well-being.
  • I have visited high schools in the New York City/Long Island area to speak to high school students about how the Academy has impacted my life
  • I have embarked on multiple summer training exercises that have uniquely shaped the course of my career to include surface cruises, where I worked closely with enlisted sailors and learned what makes a good officer. I went underway on a submarine, worked with marines, flew training aircraft, and spent time aboard a surface destroyer. I was also a squad leader for a seminar that encourages high school students to attend the Naval Academy and sheds light on a military experience. I was also a squad leader during Plebe Summer, the Naval Academy's version of boot camp, training recent high school graduates to become basically trained midshipmen and prepare them for the four years ahead of them.
  • Cyber and Data Science courses taken to ensure advanced understanding of technology and safe activity.
  • I maintained updated knowledge through continuing education and advanced training.
  • I demonstrated leadership by making improvements to work processes and helping to train others.
  • I collaborated with others to discuss new opportunities.
