Amina Fahmy

As a Physical Therapy Aide at Bethesda Physical Therapy, I’m gaining

valuable patient care experience on my path to Physician Assistant school. In this role, I assist patients throughout their rehabilitation programs by helping guide them through prescribed exercises, applying therapeutic modalities such as heat packs and electrical stimulation (e-stim), and ensuring a clean, organized clinic environment. This experience has allowed me to deepen my understanding of musculoskeletal injuries, treatment planning, and the importance of compassionate patient care in a clinical setting.

Medical Shadowing Experience

• Completed over 50 hours shadowing healthcare professionals including dermatologists, physical therapists, dentists, and oral surgeons.
• Gained valuable insight into various healthcare fields by observing patient care, medical procedures, and clinical workflows.
• Shadowed closely with medical assistants to understand their roles and daily responsibilities.
• Developed a well-rounded perspective on healthcare settings, strengthening my preparation for PA school.

Developed strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment. Engaged with guests, handled transactions, and ensured a positive dining and beverage experience for golfers on the course

Over the years of working as a dance teacher, I helped children ages five to thirteen develop physical skills, confidence, creativity, and self-expression through dance. I demonstrated dance techniques, movements, and sequences clearly and effectively. I provided constructive feedback and encouragement to help students improve and reach their full potential. Having attended the studio myself and with years of experience as a competitive dancer, I brought firsthand knowledge and passion to my teaching. I also communicated regularly with students, parents, and studio management about class schedules, progress, upcoming events, and other important information.
