• Set up a thrift store for the homeless men of the McKenna Center
• Welcomed the men in and went throughout the center shopping with them and collecting their items
• Helped them checkout and created conversations with the customers until they decided to leave

Helped the less fortunate families and men of DC through the food pantry at the McKenna Center. Carried their groceries and made sure everything was seamless and easy for them.

My job was driving a truck around the property and helping load it up with trash, branches, and any other debris. It was a very touching experience because a lot of the land we were cleaning up was the grave sights of slaves that worked at the property.
