I am an aspiring mechanical engineer with a strong focus on FDM 3D printing and 3D design. I am currently earning my bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. I have over 5 years of experience in FDM 3D printing and CAD software, such as Autodesk Fusion 360 and Solidworks. I have a passion for designing and creating parts and assemblies for robotics projects, and have served 3 years as a mechanical lead on my school's F.I.R.S.T robotics team, rapidly manufacturing and prototyping mechanical systems for fast-paced competitions while training underclassmen in the use of mechanical engineering techniques for design and manufacturing.
Autodesk Certified Associate in CAD for Mechanical Design
The Autodesk Certified Associate in CAD for Mechanical Design is an industry-recognized credential that validates essential skills in using Autodesk Fusion 360 for mechanical design. It demonstrates a candidate's ability to perform 3D modeling, create assemblies, and generate technical drawings for manufacturing. This certification is designed for individuals with advanced skills in CAD, preparing them for careers as CAD technicians or mechanical designers by showcasing their capability to take a mechanical design project from initial concept to a production-ready state.
