- Differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, and English Language Learners (ELLs). I had several students that spoke different languages including Arabic and Turkish. I was able to build a friendly environment and use resources to assist with their instruction.
- Managed classroom activities, established a positive learning environment, and maintained effective behavior management strategies.
- Utilized assessment tools to track student progress and adjust instruction to address learning gaps.
- Collaborated with mentor teachers and staff to support student success and enhance the learning experience.

- 40+ days of student-teaching experience in a 7th grade social studies classroom.
- Integrated technology, such as PowerPoints, online games, and YouTube videos to enrich instruction and promote student engagement.
- Abided by all Maryland Department of Education standards and criteria.
- Assisted with different service learning opportunities including a field trip to the Maryland Food Bank. Here, we learned the process of how food is organized and distributed at the food bank. The students and I did many activities including sorting produce, boxing non-perishable goods and learning about the importance of food banks along the way.
- Incorporated many projects for learning including creating a Chinese lantern for our Asia unit and a poster of a famous figure for African-American Heritage Month.
- Collaborated with my mentor as well as other social studies teachers to ensure the lessons and activities were best for every type of student.
