For the past 15 years, I have been working in the restaurant business which entails being adaptable to energetic, fast-paced atmospheres, while providing personal attention to details and customers' needs. My ambitious attitude responds quickly to others, whether they are communicated verbally or nonverbally. My leadership skills includes problem solving in a timely manner, developing a successful and support team and positive guidance. With the skills and strategies that I am learning while receiving my master's degree in special education at American University, I hope to exert my interpersonal skills, restaurant experience and intuition to create a safe, welcoming and open-minded educational environment for students with learning differences.
