- Company Overview: Animal Plant Health Inspection Service
- I am responsible for the configuration and installation of new computer systems as well as the diagnosis, repair, imaging/re-imaging, and virus detection/remediation of all computers (desktop, laptop, and notebook/tablet). As well as monitors, printers and peripherals in an Enterprise environment.
- I am also responsible for the installation and configuration of new or upgraded software on the computer systems in an Enterprise environment.
- I am responsible for inventorying and tracking of Audio-Visual equipment as it gets deployed or returned for service.
- I am responsible for making recommendations to senior management for new types of equipment and implementing the appropriate solutions to keep APHIS audio visual capabilities on par with emerging technologies.
- I am responsible for using Active Directory to perform LAN administrative tasks such as creating and maintaining user accounts, creating/resetting user account passwords and Active Directory cleanup such as removing accounts of former employees.
- I am responsible for the scanning and remediation of viruses, malware and spyware found on any computers then re-imaging the computer if required and providing the scan results to the CISSO or a member of the Security staff.
- I am responsible for assisting my customers with the coordination, execution and monitoring of Video Teleconferences, Zoom Webinars and Meetings, MS Teams Meetings and Audio Conference Calls.
- I also installed, configured and deployed, sometimes remotely, Video Teleconferencing units such as Cisco EX90, SX20 and DX80 and performed diagnostics and repairs when necessary, using TMS.
- I worked on several Project Teams including all hardware rollout upgrades such as new computer installations, software upgrades including Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office products. I also worked on the VPN and Big Fix SCCM rollout projects.
