Responsibilities include enforcing State laws and City ordinances, utilizing crime prevention measures of proactive enforcement to protect life and property and to maintain order, within the City to include a combination of the following duties: high visibility crime patrol, directing traffic, issuing civil, traffic and criminal citations, serving summonses, investigating traffic accidents, and preserving crime scenes. Performing general and specific assignments from superior officers in accordance with established policies, providing quality community policing to the citizens of Baltimore City. Responding to dispatched calls for service for complaints and disturbances and taking necessary action to help prevent crime, aid citizens needing assistance, provide escorts, prepare written reports, answer screened and referred calls from citizens requesting police services when assigned desk duties. Investigate reports of criminal activity, interview victims, complainants, and witnesses for statements, seek, gather and submit evidence for processing, arrest suspected offenders and testify in court as required. Instruct citizens, businesses, schools, and civic organizations about methods and techniques that may help prevent them from becoming victims of crime. Participate in community-based policing strategies and programs, conduct investigations of crimes against persons and property.
Apprehend suspects and process prisoners to include fingerprinting, photographing, searching prisoners, recording and securing the prisoner's property, and transporting prisoners to the appropriate facility. Disseminate information and work in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies as directed and appropriate. Assist EMS personnel, firefighters, animal control, and City departments as required. Monitor roadway and weather conditions, reporting any potential problems to appropriate agencies. Conduct security checks of businesses and residential areas on patrol route, foster good police-community relations among residents and civilian population and provided resources on assigned post.

Responsibilities included safely loaded and unloaded trucks using appropriate forklift attachments, reducing the risk of accidents or injuries. Kept warehouse clean and organized by removing debris and returning unused pallets to designated areas. Improved warehouse efficiency by skillfully operating forklifts to move, locate, and stack materials. Wrapped pallets in plastic wrap and attached merchandise tags to prepare for shipping. Operated forklift in compliance with OSHA guidelines and organizational policies. Transported goods between warehouse locations according to shipment and storage needs.
