I love my city and people who live here. I am always eager to help those in need. But my vision and attitude toward volunteering has radically changed when the war started in the Ukraine. I took a decision to step out of my comfort zone and help the Ukrainian refugees, giving them a shelter and taking an active part in organizing help companies for Ukrainians. Once I realized that I am able to be helpful and contribute to community, giving back to it, without expecting any monetary rewards. I believe that kindness, noble acts are a great way to make a positive difference in the world. I am sure, volunteering helps to develop new skills, built strong relationships and foster a sense of community. It also boosts self-esteem and even happiness.
