Provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure the effective functioning of the district government, including the following areas: education, agriculture, construction and development, economy, as well as the investment attraction and project implementation.


  • Develop and implement strategies to promote economic growth, tourism, attract investment, and create job opportunities within the district.
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of the district budget in collaboration with relevant departments and stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities from government grants, private investors, and international organizations to support infrastructure and economic development projects.
  • Represent the district's interests in meetings, conferences, and negotiations with external stakeholders, including regional and national authorities and twinning cities from abroad.
  • Support initiatives to improve access to education, healthcare, housing, and other essential services for all residents.

  • In charge of the center beautification plan within the EU4Moldova programme, overseeing a budget over 1M EUR. This resulted in: renovation of 1.2 km, of a four-lane thoroughfare along the main street, 7000 m2 of sidewalk, and a fully reconstructed city square including a newly built fountain.
  • Coordinated cross-border projects resulted in the construction of 20-km long bike lanes and of a new tourist center accommodating public services.
  • Secured external funds for the Ukrainian refugee crisis management (totaling over 500,000 EUR) from international organizations such as UNHCR, IOM, and UNICEF.
  • Oversaw the successful implementation of key outcomes such as: the renovation of a community center (250,000 EUR), thermal insolation projects for kindergartens (60,000 EUR), and the construction of 10 playgrounds (150,000 EUR) across the town.
  • Successfully led the city's response efforts to mitigate the impacts of the pandemic (COVID 19) on residents, businesses, and communities: coordinating emergency response efforts, including the procurement and distribution of medical equipment, food, and essential goods to individuals and families in need.
