Frania Amaya

I am currently a junior at Morgan State University, where I successfully balance my academic studies with full-time professional responsibilities. I am pursuing a bachelor's degree and have developed a strong foundation in biology, complemented by hands-on experience in customer service. My employment has allowed me to demonstrate proficiency in teamwork, communication, and adaptability. I am committed to continuous learning and aim to apply both my academic achievements and practical skills in a laboratory environment while collaborating with others. My goal is to utilize my academic knowledge and practical abilities to make a meaningful contribution to the STEM community and the workplace.

• Vice President, Student Research Club, 08/01/23, 05/31/24, As Vice President, my role was to organize events and present the topics for the meetings. I organized announcements to send out to members regarding planned events and answered questions members have. I also assist the President in filling out required documents needed for the club and managing events.
• Mentor Assistant, STEM Summer Camp, 06/01/23, 08/31/23, As an assistant, I help set up the room for the lesson plan for the day. Working with students, I engage with students to get to know them and rotate around to make sure students understand the lesson plans when they are having fun. I made sure students are behaving well and that they leave with their correct guardians.
