I started off in the crematory where I would be behind the scenes and cremate pets, process the pets, and wash the bags we use to transport the pets. I did this for about three months then i took a position as a driver. In the role of a driver I am interacting with vet hospitals transporting the pets to be cremated and the remains of the pets to be delivered to the hospitals for our clients. Some other tasks I currently have as a driver is home assists where I will help a Dr. after they have euthanized a pet get it onto a stretcher if it is to big for one person and load it onto my van, and home couriers where I will deliver the remains of a beloved pet back to the pet parents personally.
I would help others prepare food for vending machines as a part of an assembly line as a temp worker while looking for a full time position.
I worked overnight while I was still at the vet clinic and I had a variety of tasks. My main task was making sure the facility was clean and i would prepare both coffee and food for the morning rush. my other tasks included making sure the kitchen area was stocked, the merchandise was in order, the trash cans by the gas pumps were emptied, and assisting customers find items they needed in the store.
I would assist the Dr's and hold the pets using fear free methods, run a few in house blood tests after training, schedule appointments, work reception when needed and communicate with pet parents. I would also assist in the Kennel tech work taking pets out in my free time and clean the kennels as needed
I helped customers with issues when their scales and scanners werent working, I did overnight installations for the scales and card readers, and I would communicate issues from the customers to our teams programmers.
