Mr. Brown is a seasoned and dynamic instructor with 34 years of experience in early childhood education. He is passionate about establishing the right foundation in children's minds, effectively preparing them for middle school, high school and college education. He has proven techniques that allow for excellent classroom management, and has test scores that reflect this. Most of all, Mr. Brown is easy going, and easy to work with. His experience with classroom management and early childhood instruction, in accordance with the policies of the educational system, produces excellence in children from 4-12 years old.
Special Accomplishments
- The D.C.C.A.S. Tests for Reading & Math - 90% of my students passed with a score of "Proficient" in both subjects, and Emery Elementary was one of the 23 schools who made "AYP" for the first year of the newly administered Tests (D.C.C.A.S.). Highest percentage of students passing both subjects tests in the District of Columbia Public School System for Third Grade classes for 2005-2006.
- The D.C.C.A.S Tests for Reading & Math - 57% of my students passed with a score of "Proficient" in Reading, and 43% of my students passed with a score of
"Proficient" in Math. This was the second year of the newly administered D.C.C.A.S. tests for 2006-2007. D.C.P.S. Reading targeted score was 47.37% and Math targeted score was 40.70%. - Diagnostic Test Reports (Scantron): 20 out of 22 scholars passed the Reading Comprehension Scantron Test, with 91% of my scholars passing with a score of Above Average./Average High. 17 out of 22 scholars passed the Language Arts Scantron Test, with 82% of my scholars passing with a score of Above Average/ Average High. 12 out of 22 scholars passed the Mathematics Scantron Test, with 55% of my scholars passing with a score of Above Avg./Average High. This was the Fall Scantron Test that was given on January 27, 2022 at Cardinal Shehan School.
