Gregory Rego

I spent the summer of 2021 volunteering at an Elementary School in their summer program, helping as a teacher's assistant. As I was assigned a first grade class, I helped children one-on-one to get better with basic skills they weren't familiar with or used to. I also aided teachers during the students' lunch time. This entire experience taught me how to be patient and persistent towards those who need help. I managed to accumulate 100+ service hours.

I volunteer about once a month with my community organization, known as Bengali American Christian Association (BACA), by helping the underprivileged through the distribution of food and medical aid. We also hold community events where I help set up and manage activities and cultural events. This helped me develop skills in teamwork and cooperation.
