  • Support in vivo oncology research studies in mice as a member of the Necropsy Services Team.
  • Perform end-of-life technical procedures on mice, including gross necropsy, handling/restraint, anesthesia, euthanasia, blood (cardiac, tail nip)/tissue (organ, tumor) collection, and serum/plasma processing.
  • Follow SOPs, protocols, and regulations set by IUCAC and state and federal laws.
  • Properly maintain laboratory workspace, supplies, and equipment in accordance with good laboratory practices.
  • Providing support and input with the clients, other project leaders, and supervisors for the review of protocols for errors, and modify protocols to clients specifications.
  • Manage the processing, labeling, storage, and shipment of biological samples as specified by clients.

  • Perform general study preparation and organizational activities, including sample tube labeling, supply organization and stocking, and laboratory organization.
