- Perform head-to-toe assessment

- Join doctor's rounds and assist physician in examination, treatment, dressing, and other nursing bedside procedures.
- Check, carry out, and transcribe doctor's order for procedures/treatments and delegate to staff, coordinate with different divisions/units regarding implementation of the patient care.
- Provide health teachings regarding the nursing care given during admission and prior discharge.
- Review and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care, relay laboratory results and update physician regarding patient's status.
- Check completeness of E-cart and make replacement if necessary.
- Make requisition as needed for the effective functioning of unit e.g. repair of equipment and other supplies.
- Attend and participate in staff meeting as called for by the administrator.
- Make assessments on the assigned client and refer for significant findings to the staff nurse on duty.
- Monitor vital signs, blood glucose levels, intake and output, and transfusion reactions if any.
- Perform NGT feeding, indwelling catheterization, wound care.
- Assist in activities of daily living e.g. ambulation, passive exercises, feeding, bed bath.
- Give oral medications.
