I have conducted and investigated 15 DUI/DWI's leading my agency with the most for the year 2024. I have successfully been involved in several search warrants which resulted in the arrest of multiple violent criminals making a safer and stronger community for the residents of La Plata, MD. I have successfully also completed a 8 month police academy for the Anne Arundel County Police Academy with full merit and completion.

Successfully completed the Anne Arundel County Police Academy from October, 2023- June, 2024. 

The Mayor and Town Council of La Plata proudly recognize me for being awarded 2024 Officer of the Year. 

I was awarded 2024 Officer of the year Award. During 2024 I handled the third most reports in the agency, which resulted in 23 criminal arrest. Also during 2024, I showed a passion for traffic safety and making our roadways safer by conducting 323 traffic stops. Those traffic stops resulted in 226 citations, 320 warnings, 31 safety equipment repair orders, and most importantly 15 Driving While Intoxicated arrest. The 15 DWI arrest led the agency in 2024. I completed the Maryland State Highway Impaired Driving Conference, Preliminary Breath Test Operator Course, and Street Crimes Seminar. I also received letters of commendation for my assistance during the search and investigation of two missing juveniles , assisting in the apprehension of a violent and mentally ill person who had been making homicidal and suicidal threats and assisting with agency sponsored sobriety checkpoints. I was also named Officer of the Quarter for Quarters 1 & 2 in 2024 and in November 2024 I was promoted to Patrol Officer First Class. Along with my accomplishments during 2024 i volunteered to work numerous special assignments and events, covered many shifts that were under staffed, and made myself available to translate, while both on and off duty for Spanish speaking individuals.
