  • Additional responsibilities required verification of goods received daily via USPS, Fed Ex, UPS and DHL for acceptable conditions and compares packing list with purchase order document before taking to designated drop areas.
  • Endorsing and accurately recording checks and money orders received daily on a mail log spreadsheet.
  • Processing all outgoing mail for the Clerks office, operating a variety of mail equipment, providing an accurate inventory of mail room supplies and ensuring supplies are stocked on a timely basis.
  • Opening new cases and assigning case numbers to Judges, collecting restitution payments and balancing drawer at the end of the work day.
  • Providing frontline customer service at the front counter and assisting customers over the phone with case status.
  • Processing attorney admissions applications and scheduling appointments for admittance into the Eastern District of Virginia courts.
  • Preparing DMV Reports with traffic violation/convictions for transmittal to DMV on a monthly basis
