I am a registered yoga instructor with over 500 hours of training and two decades of experience teaching yoga to children and adults as well as to yoga teachers in training. I have additional training in trauma-informed yoga and am certified to teach yoga to neurodivergent individuals. I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, yoga studios, hospitals, corporate events, and private homes. I lead yoga retreats and workshops emphasizing yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda. I am a reiki master, certified reflexologist, and former hospice volunteer caregiver.
After leaving my career in information technology to raise my two children (no small accomplishment!), I became both a yoga instructor and volunteer hospice caregiver. I was simultaneously an active PTA volunteer at my kids' elementary school and earned the PTA Hall of Fame award for my seven years of dedication and performance as Vice President of Community Service. Recently I completed trauma informed and special needs yoga teacher training to begin practicing in therapeutic settings including the outpatient mental health program where I currently work. I have worked at MANY yoga studios throughout the area and have been honored to teach yoga to many hundreds of students over decades of teaching instruction.
