Aspirations

  • I plan to open a series of counseling firms and community centers for inner-city youth nationwide with an emphasis on non-violent conflict resolution and community restoration, after receiving my Master's in social work and Ph.D. in Psychology.
  • I want to counsel children and families, foster educational and job opportunities for young people, and provide mentorship to youth and young adults (ages 5 to 25) in various communities across the U.S. as well as run homeless shelters and food banks in the communities.
  • I plan to participate in both research and clinical psychology, addressing systemic issues on a micro and macro sociological scale by studying and dismantling the internal and external stigmas and barriers that contribute to disparities in mental health care and hesitance in receiving treatment.
  • I want to help close the gaps in Black and Brown Americans’ access to opportunities and resources as well as combat harmful stigmas surrounding Black youth.
