Kelly Bowie

I am writing to apply for the Teacher Assistant position at your school/child care center. With over 25 years of experience in early childhood education, I am passionate about supporting children’s learning and helping create safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environments.

During my 17 years as a Lead Teacher at Children’s Magnet Montessori School, I managed classrooms of 18–24 children between the ages of 2 and 8. I developed lesson plans, guided classroom behavior using positive reinforcement, and worked closely with families to support each child’s development. Prior to that, I spent 8 years at Head Start of Howard County supporting early childhood education programs focused on school readiness and developmental growth.

I am CPR and First Aid certified and have completed a 90-Hour Child Care Certification along with ongoing continuing education courses. I work well as part of a team, communicate effectively with parents and staff, and remain committed to providing children with a positive learning experience.
