I am responsible for maintaining a schedule of preventative maintenance for the entire collection system, using the Maintenance Management Information System, Inspection database system, and Enterprise Geographical Information System to update, modify, and remove segments from preventative maintenance as required; Researches, manages and coordinates the detailed investigation of all Sanitary Sewer Overflows and building backups; Coordinates verbal and written correspondence with customers with sewer related issues, this includes initial customer contact and all subsequent follow up of findings and final resolution; Collaborates with, and provides guidance and technical assistance to, other Divisions within the Commission including Claims, Emergency Call Center, Regulatory Services, Customer Care, Pipeline Construction, and Pipeline Design as well as WSSC Water licensed plumbers; Researches and prepares documents and summaries for Freedom of Information Act and Maryland Public Information Act requests regarding building backups and sanitary sewer overflows. Verifies and prepares information for the 5-day SSO report submitted to local, state, and Federal agencies; Generates Closed Circuit Television work orders following every SSO to ensure that WSSC Water meets the Consent Decree 10-day CCTV deadline requirement as specified in the Consent Decree; Reviews CCTV lateral inspections and pipeline inspections and makes recommendations in accordance with National Association of Sewer Service Companies standardization for rehabilitation and preventative maintenance; Researches and reviews plumbing contract invoices to ensure proper payments and workmanship; Digitize, delete and verifies the locations of building backups and SSOs in GIS and researches incorrect attribute data and notifies Mapping Section as required for Consent Decree compliance.
