Upcoming Junior and aspiring History major. I am looking to become either a teacher, museum curator, or a career in business marketing or public relations in the future. Irregardless of my future career I wish to apply my learned skills from my education in all aspects of my life. I am very involved in extra curricular and academic activities on campus. I would describe myself as hardworking, and always eager and willing to improve. I have a love of learning and always want to learn more. I am currently aspiring to be a student at the University of Maryland, College Park, where I can showcase my drive for learning and bettering myself in an environment that provides such opportunities.
I currently work in the University's Marketing department, working in a paid internship called the ‘Mount Street Team’ where we attend various events, record footage of students, perform interviews, and
to promote student life to prospective and current students, faculty and staff on Instagram and Youtube. I have attended events for Faculty, prospective students, Seniors, "Fun events", Student Clubs, School sponsored events, Athletics, Presidential induction, Theater, and in the Dining Halls. Posting to both Instagram and Youtube, and University's Main Instagram page.
This past spring, I had the opportunity to travel to March Madness in Ohio to record the Mount vs. American University Basketball Game, creating a Youtube 'short' uploaded to both social medias.
As the Public Relations Officer for Women's Club Soccer, I manage our club’s Instagram page, editing, uploading and creating content. I am also responsible for advertising for our games, recruitment for new players, organizing recruitment events and handling relations between our male counterpart, Men's Club Soccer. I handle relations between other teams in the event any game propositions are sent via social media, and send those to our club president for organization.
I also take photographs, or manage photographs taken of our players to upload to Instagram.
Since I am a board member within Women's Club Soccer, I was appointed to being the representative in the Student Government Association. I attend all of the weekly meetings, casting votes, and proposing ideas that reflect the needs of our team.
I rely announcement information back to the rest of our board, as Club information is shared often in those meetings.
I also participate from the point of view as a student on campus, voicing my opinions where I see fit in bills, votes, or general commentary.
