  • Interim Voice Switch Replacement IVSRI program coordinator for the FAA Contracting Officer Technical Representative COTR.
    I participated in Site Surveys, Production Acceptance Testing, and Site Acceptance Testing for both FAA and Army systems.
  • Acting cadre training instructor IVSR Operator/Supervisor training support to Air Traffic Controllers. Additional support included generating task orders, overseeing the IVSR installation/test schedule, weekly updates with FAA service areas, Program Implementation Managers. Technical assistance and daily coordination with IVSR support team, FAA Engineering Center, Oklahoma City and Frequentis, USA. Responsibilities included daily/weekly communications with teammates, weekly monthly and quarterly reporting. Approving time sheets and preparing yearly performance evaluations.
  • Supported Alaska Automation Capability AAC Program. This is part of Future Flight Services Program FFSP. Alaska Flight Services voice communications system currently in use at 3 Hub facilities and 14 satellite facilities. Integration of Air to Ground and Ground to Ground communications circuits using ASTI Alaska Telecommunications Infrastructure and FTI FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure. Tentative Air to Ground Media Gateway, AGMG, Air to Ground Protocol Converter, APC. Utilizing potential FAA Enterprise Network Services FENS, TBD.
  • Developed VCS Voice Communications requirements from Legacy Voice Communication programs for Alaska program. Developed notional TED Touch Entry Devices for controller positions to include air to ground and ground to ground circuits.
  • At flight service facilities. From site data, prepared site survey report for distribution to FAA program management.
  • Both Integrated Communications Switching System ICSS and Small Tower Voice Switch STVS are currently in use in Alaska flight service facilities.
  • Th ICSS is in each of the three-Hub facility, the STVS is in the Satellite facilities. Requirements development includes Air to Ground Radio Circuit and Ground to Ground Telephone circuit configurations. The existing VCS configuration is being migrated to the Leidos platform using the Rhode & Schwarz voice communications system.
  • TED Touch Entry Device technology is being integration into the position equipment found in the operator consoles along with handsets, footswitches, and other ancillary equipment.
  • I developed many technical documents which are currently used for operability development.
  • The All-Alaska Workbook was developed and includes all facility, controller positions, radio frequencies and telephone circuits in the Alaska AFSS modernization program. the requirements data gathered. It was all compiled in the All-Alaska workbooks. These workbook versions were updated regularly.
  • Worked closely with operations and support personnel in order to capture the most accurate data as possible. Data includes all Air to Ground Radio circuits. Ground to Ground telephone circuits.
  • Conducted site surveys and gathered data, 2022. Three teams traveled to the hub and satellite facilities to gather VCS site data.
  • Participated in the Alaska Flight Service VCS in-person, site visits and data gathering during facility surveys.
  • Additional data was gathered for the Operational and Supportability Implementation System (OASIS II). This system in the National Airspace System NAS processes and displays weather products, tracks flight service functional daily activities and time on position, provides flight planning, coordination with air traffic control.
  • Supporting the IVSR Interim Voice Switch Replacement as a program coordinator for the FAA COTR. Participate in Site Surveys, Production Acceptance Testing at Frequentis USA facility in Columbia MD and Site Acceptance Testing for both FAA and Army systems.
  • Conduct Interim Voice Switch Replacement (IVSR) Air Traffic Operator/Supervisor training for both ATC and Cadre personnel. Additional support includes generating task orders, overseeing the IVSR installation/test schedule, monthly and quarterly GFE/Depot and Failure Analysis reporting. Weekly updates with FAA service areas, Program Implementation Managers. Technical assistance and daily coordination with IVSR support team, FAA Engineering Center, Oklahoma City and Frequentis, USA. Extensive travel to Air Traffic Control facilities is required for the training portion of this task.
