As a member of the marketing team at Smiles4Elder, a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating loneliness among the elderly in nursing homes, I am responsible for creating and managing social media posts, gathering engagement, and promoting our mission through advertising and outreach. I help coordinate new volunteer opportunities by organizing event dates and communicating with partner facilities. I also contribute to brainstorming sessions where we develop creative ideas and campaigns to raise awareness and increase engagement.

• Donated essential winter clothing, such as coats, hats, and gloves, through a school counselor to support individuals experiencing homelessness during extreme cold weather.
• Provided clean, high-quality towels to a local charity organization to help underserved communities access basic hygiene resources.
• Contributed a variety of non-perishable food items, including canned goods and dry pasta, to a local food bank to support families struggling to purchase food.
• Donated new toys during a holiday toy drive to bring joy and comfort to children in need during the Christmas season.

• A STEM Program sponsored by the Naval Academy, with interactive sessions on different science topics, such as Psychology and Forensics

Through the AKBF Service-Learning Program, I learned about the importance of kidney health, especially within minority communities, and the common causes of kidney failure. I gained valuable knowledge on how diet, lifestyle, and regular health checkups can help prevent kidney-related diseases.
