Accomplishments

Since 2016 I have been a member of the Frederick County Honor Guard Unit and have been involved in numerous memorial services, funerals, community events and trainings.

December 2018 while operating as a correctional officer, I successfully prevented an active suicide which was occurring in the central booking area of the detention center. I received an award for outstanding performance.

November 2019, I conducted a traffic stop in the area of 340W and Jefferson Technology Way where I identified furtive movements and inconsistent stories from the driver and passengers. K95 was called to the scene where a scan was performed which yielded a positive hit for the odor of narcotics. Following a search of the vehicle, 60 caps of suspected fentanyl and other paraphernalia were discovered. The driver and the passenger were both placed under arrest and charged appropriately.

September 2021 I was tasked to assist Maryland State Police in locating a missing suicidal person. I initially located the vehicle of the individual at the Wolf Rock Trailhead in Catoctin Mountain Park. A Maryland State Trooper and I hiked the trail in total darkness where we eventually located the subject who was actively cutting himself with a knife. The trooper and I were able to coordinate a plan to take the individual into custody safely without any additional harm to himself or us. Attached to this resume is a copy of the after-action report submitted by Cpl. Rishell from the Maryland State Police.

August 2022 for one month, I was assigned temporarily to the Community Deputy Unit and placed in Emmitsburg while Dfc Ahalt was out for medical reasons.

November 2022 I was nominated for a life saving award for applying a tourniquet to an individual that had uncontrollable bleeding from a laceration to his arm (22-121976). The call first was dispatched as a stabbing in progress. I was first to arrive and identify that this incident was an accident and that there was no intentional assault that occurred. I operated calmly and efficiently while applying life saving first aide measures while directing incoming deputies as well as DFRS.

May 2023 I was dispatched to an AFD for a person down in the community of Discovery. While enroute myself and my area partner were informed that, according to Maryland State Police, that the individual we were responding to had active extraditable warrants. I arrived on scene last, right when the subject fled the scene from my area partner and a Maryland State Trooper. After a brief canvas of the area, Trooper Ingram and I located the subject in the backyard of a residence. Trooper Ingram initially attempted to give orders which I noticed were ineffective. I then stepped in and gave clear, direct and loud orders to the subject, the subject responded appropriately to my orders and was taken into custody without further issue. Following taking the subject into custody I then directed units on scene efficiently and calmly. This incident was captured on my body camera under case number 23-051996.

July 2024 I was certified as a Command Bus Driver for the Frederick County Government.

October 2024 I was conducting routine patrol in the area of Legore Bridge Road and the Monocacy river when I noticed a suspicious vehicle sitting on the side of the road. I immediately noticed that this vehicle had been at the same location for multiple days and decided to investigate. Through a thorough investigation it was determined that the vehicle belonged to an elderly male who was last seen 4 days prior. Due to my actions, a search was conducted of the immediate area and the body of the missing subject was found. The subject’s family was able to be notified as a result of my careful attention to my area and investigative skills.

December 2024 I was accepted into the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office Drone Team as a drone pilot. During my time in this unit I have assisted the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office with numerous surveillance operations as well as assisted other agencies with locating missing subjects.

November 2025 I was given the position within the Civil Processing Division to be the dedicated protective/peace order server for the Frederick County Sheriff's Office. I am the only deputy dedicated to this specific job title with very little supervisory oversight. During my time in this position I have consistently delivered above 75% and higher success rate in serving court orders as well as coordinating with outside jurisdictions. I am also responsible for seizing firearms in accordance with court orders as well as coordinating with DSS and victim services when children are involved in the orders to ensure safety for all parties involved.

During my entire time on patrol, I have participated in multiple searches including 2 for felony fleeing suspects as well as numerous other searches for missing vulnerable persons.
