- Greets, correctly identifies patient, prepares patient for examination and explains specific procedures to be performed
- Accurately maintains patient imaging records, utilizing EMR and PACS/Synapse application in accordance with HIPAA and company guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Position patient properly for anatomy that will be analyzed. Analyze scan: verify bone map edges and disc space levels, and verify suspected internal artifacts. Follows protocols, and ensures quality of images/exam performed. Follows all safety standards and uses radiation protection when operating radiologic equipment
- Perform daily QC of system
- Maintains radiology equipment/work is clean and in compliance. Ensures supplies are stored appropriate and readily available. Helps coordinate preventative maintenance and calling of service of equipment and notifying appropriate supervisor
- Maintains attendance with assigned work schedule. Able to travel to other locations, do another shift within company to provide DEXA service as necessary
