Accomplishments

  • Private Home ( Sara Davenport ), Being a private nurse caregiver for a patient who has Multiple Sclerosis was something that I had never done before. I took some of the skills I learned in nursing school in building trust with my patient and making sure my patient was very comfortable with me. Using my body mechanics in lifting patients was an accomplishment as well.
  • Options for Senior America, I encouraged my patient during her time of lost of her husband who died of cancer by staying on top of her emotional wellbeing and overall health of wellness through prayer and counsel and which she was very thankful for and it helped her alot which gave her a well to live.
  • Union Memorial Hospital, Working in the emergency department could be very fast paced at times and slow paced. During this time I was in my eight month of pregnancy and was able to work well. Communication skills are an essential function of this position to insure the smooth and effective operation of the emergency unit and team work is a must. I am glad that I had the opportunity to learn more working in a face paced area of a hospital.
  • St. Josephs Medical Center, Working in the well baby unit for the first time was a great experience for me because it was something that I always wanted to do. Greeting family members who come visit mother/baby was just a joy for me.
