Roles & Responsibility

Safety & Compliance: Auditing physical security measures, ensuring Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) is functioning, POS Terminals / card readers are un tampered and training staff on shortage prevention and emergency protocols.

Inventory Auditing: Reviewing sales and inventory reports (exception reports) to detect both external shoplifting and internal employee theft & fraud.

Surveillance & Apprehension: Monitoring live CCTV feeds and floor activity to identify theft, conducting apprehensions of shoplifters, and safely recovering stolen merchandise. Processing shoplifters or repeat offenders. Partnering with local law enforcement to trespass and criminally charge.

Incident Reporting: Preparing detailed case reports, preserving physical & digital evidence, and collaborating with local law enforcement or testifying in criminal proceedings. Using tools such as a case report system, RFID item tracking & yammer to track theft & repeat offenders.

Team Management & Development:

Lead a team of multiple TSS (Target Security Specialist) over the years. Also helped develop many of them for job advancements.

Achievements

I was promoted from form a salesfoor team member to a TPS (Target Protection Specialist) to a SR TPS then an APS though out my years.

I have assisted in helping to identify and apprehend multiple large scale booster level shoplifters who have caused Target total loses overt ten of thousands of dollars.

I have been recognized for my work within the Loss Prevention felid by cooperate level assessets protection leadership such as on a APBP or APD level.

I have lead numerous teams with my time at Target. And may TSS under mean have since been promoted to an APS leader role.

I am a recognized & respected face in the Loss Prevention world in the Howard County MD law enforcement and Court Systems.

As of last year 2025, I have helped to assist with my current team & leaders in the store the best shortage numbers the store has seen in years and most closed external & internal cases as well setting new records.
