Gabe Lake

Annapolis,MD

Summary

My career goals include establishing online commissions through a dedicated website, providing a platform for clients to discover and engage with my artwork. Additionally, I aspire to secure a position with a renowned company such as Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, or Pixar, where I can contribute my skills and creativity to the world of animation. I also aim to pursue opportunities with leading animation companies to hone my skills and meet their high standards. Ultimately, I aspire to produce independent animations and potentially own my own animation company.

My true goal in life is to secure a position within a prominent animation company where I can not only contribute my skills and expertise but also find fulfillment and enjoyment in the work I do. I am passionate about the art of animation and am dedicated to honing my craft to make meaningful contributions to projects that inspire and entertain audiences.

Voyageur Outward Bounds School (VOBS) 50 Day Intercept Program

Western Colorado University College Credit

Boundary Waters National Park, Minnesota | July-August 2021

Successfully completed and obtained the pin of excellence for a 50-day Intercept Semester course at the Voyageur Outward Bound School (VOBS). This unsupported wilderness expedition was about character development, acquiring leadership skills, and developing an ethic of service. The expedition was deliberately designed to provide high levels of physical and emotional challenge. In the wilderness, I was compelled to face challenges immediately and constructively. By doing so, I learned how to overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles and discover that I can achieve whatever I put my mind too.

  • Leadership Skills: worked with a group to achieve daily goals, encouraged a sense of community responsibility, Took charge of earlier departures
  • Navigated Group and Solo Expeditions in the wilderness
  • Portaged 70 lb backpack and canoes daily
  • Problem Solving Skills: Managed communication conflicts, assertively communicate needs and goals, sought compromise when possible
  • Berkley School of Music; 2018
  • Digital Media Academy, EDM; 2018
  • METS Guild; Washington College (Chestertown, Maryland); 2016-2017
